Board of Education Applicants and Interviews

Eight Hoover residents submitted applications to become the next person appointed by the Hoover City Council to the Hoover Board of Education, filling the seat to be vacated by current BOE President Paulette Pearson. The five-year term begins on June 1.

Each applicant will be publicly interviewed in the Council chambers on Thursday, April 3. The public is not allowed to comment or participate in any way, but may attend the interviews by sitting in the chambers.

If you have input for the Council regarding what you believe they should ask or be looking for in a school board member, you are encouraged to contact them prior to April 3. Contact information is on this page.

5:30 p.m. Craig Kelly
5:50 p.m. Max Harbuck
6:10 p.m. Doug Hildreth
6:30 p.m. Guy Locker
6:50 p.m. Break
7:10 p.m. Terry Turner
7:30 p.m. Stephanie Schambeau
7:50 p.m. Arnold Singer
8:10 p.m. Kadie Whatley Peters

If a second round of interviews are needed, those will be held beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7, prior to the 6:00 p.m. Hoover City Council meeting, where the Council is expected to make that appointment.
